01Document jobs
Common document jobs
- Review dates
- Policies and statutory documents carry a review date, and an email each morning lists what is due or overdue, so a document does not sit published years past its review.
- Meeting minutes
- Council and committee minutes, searchable by date.
- Policies & reports
- Public documents residents can find without asking.
- Forms
- Grant, membership and application forms to download.
- Financial statements
- Annual reports and accounts in one place.
- Staff & member areas
- Behind a role or password when they shouldn’t be public.
02How it works
Live in three steps.
Add your documents
Upload files one at a time or drag in a whole folder — free. On Pro, bulk-convert your Media Library or import a CSV. External links to Drive, Dropbox or SharePoint work too.
Organise and protect
Sort documents into categories, then set access rules where you need them (Pro) — a password or role on a category, a password on a single document, and per-document visibility. Restricted entries stay listed but locked: titles visible, contents and downloads sealed. The exception is a document assigned to specific people, which is hidden from everyone else entirely.
Add the block
Drop the FileDeck block (or shortcode) onto any page and pick a layout. Your searchable, sortable library is live — no template editing.
03Questions
Straight answers.
Is the library accessible?
Tables are keyboard-navigable with ARIA labelling and screen-reader support — assess it against your own WCAG target on the live demo. The AI tier adds a report flagging PDFs that fail accessibility checks.
Can residents search without an account?
Yes — public documents need no login; only protected areas ask.
Can we publish minutes by date?
Yes — sort or filter by date, and residents can search the full archive.
Can we keep an archive of old versions?
Yes — on Pro, replaced documents are archived and restorable.
