Patient forms and protocols, access-controlled.
Publish patient-facing forms and price lists, and keep clinical protocols behind staff-only access. FileDeck publishes practice documents — it is not a patient-records or PHI system.

02How it works
Live in three steps.
Add your documents
Upload files one at a time or drag in a whole folder — free. On Pro, bulk-convert your Media Library or import a CSV. External links to Drive, Dropbox or SharePoint work too.
Organise and protect
Sort documents into categories, then set access rules where you need them (Pro) — a password or role on a category, a password on a single document, and per-document visibility. Restricted entries stay listed but locked: titles visible, contents and downloads sealed. The exception is a document assigned to specific people, which is hidden from everyone else entirely.
Add the block
Drop the FileDeck block (or shortcode) onto any page and pick a layout. Your searchable, sortable library is live — no template editing.
03Questions
Straight answers.
Is FileDeck HIPAA compliant?
No plugin can make a practice HIPAA compliant — compliance is a property of your whole setup: your hosting, your agreements, your processes. What we can tell you is where the documents sit. FileDeck publishes practice documents — policies, patient forms, price lists, protocols — and is not a patient-records system; protected health information does not belong in it. On your own server: ordinary keyword search and its index run entirely there, and on Pro protected files are moved into a deny-all directory and each download is re-checked against the visitor’s permission, so a restricted file has no working public URL by default. Signed share links, when you choose to issue one, expire. The only features that send document content off your server are scanned-PDF OCR and the AI tier, and both stay off until you switch them on with your own provider key. The security page sets out each control and its limits in full.
Can we keep clinical documents staff-only?
Yes — on Pro, restrict a category to a role or password. Patients see only a locked entry; nothing in it can be opened or downloaded.
Do patient forms need a login?
No — leave patient categories public; only staff areas are protected.
Can we prove staff have read a policy?
Yes — on the AI plan, acknowledgment tracking asks the roles you choose to confirm they have read a document, chases whoever has not, and exports the record as CSV evidence. Useful for infection control policies and clinical protocols that must be signed off.
Can a document expire automatically?
Yes — on Pro, set an expiry date and it drops out of the library on its own.
Can we track downloads?
Yes — every document shows a running download count.
Give patients a document library they can actually use.
Free forever, no document limits, and a 30-day refund on Pro.
