Test the outcome on your own hosting, not the label on the link.
FileDeck’s protected local files use a vault and access-checked delivery (how file protection works). Filr also documents directory protection and permission checks. Do not choose on whether a link is described as “encrypted” or “signed” alone: verify that an unauthorised visitor cannot obtain a restricted file in your hosting configuration.

Can FileDeck handle a one-off confidential download?
Pro includes single-use links, time-limited links and document restrictions. Choose the appropriate control for the recipient and file.
Is FileDeck the cheapest paid option?
Filr’s single-site annual entry is $10 lower. FileDeck combines controlled delivery with the search and management features above; its public library is also available free.
What if I require a lifetime licence?
FileDeck currently uses annual plans with a fixed renewal price. Evaluate that commercial requirement separately from the product features.
