Put the documents people need on the website they already use.
FileDeck publishes searchable document libraries within your WordPress website. Residents can find minutes, parents can find policies and customers can find manuals through your own navigation, categories and design.
Start with a free public library. Pro adds private access, client areas, reporting and document workflows from $59/year for one site, with no FileDeck charge per reader.

SharePoint supports external sharing, including Anyone links when enabled, and basic guest collaboration without assigning each guest a licence in your organisation. The case for FileDeck is the website library and its workflow, not a claim that every SharePoint reader must buy a seat.
A focused licence: you pay for the FileDeck sites you operate rather than a FileDeck seat for each reader. Website hosting remains separate.

02Getting started
Start with one collection.
You can retain SharePoint for co-authoring or broader enterprise requirements while FileDeck handles publication. For focused WordPress document workflows, evaluate FileDeck Pro directly against the functions you use today.
- 02.1Choose the documentsStart with the documents your audience asks for most.
- 02.2Organise and publishAdd them to FileDeck, organise the categories and publish a library page.
- 02.3Check private collectionsFor private collections, configure the intended audience and check access before launch.
03Requirements to check
You can keep SharePoint connected.
Link to SharePoint files or connect SharePoint Online, then review the source permissions as well as FileDeck’s.
Use public external links where appropriate, or connect SharePoint Online through FileDeck Pro to browse and attach cloud documents. FileDeck applies its own access checks to downloads through that connector. Existing sharing links and source permissions still need their own review.
Scheduled cloud import adds new records; it is not two-way synchronisation. File-content search currently applies to supported local files, not cloud-backed documents.
04Questions
What people ask about publishing publicly.
Can SharePoint share documents with the public?
SharePoint supports external sharing, including Anyone links when your administrator enables them. The question for a public audience is where readers will look: FileDeck publishes the library inside your WordPress website, with your navigation, categories and design.
What does FileDeck cost for a public audience?
A public library is included in Free. Pro is $59/year for one site, $99 for five and $179 for fifty, and renews at the same price. FileDeck does not charge per reader; website hosting is separate.
Do I have to move my documents off SharePoint?
No. Free can list public SharePoint links, and Pro can connect SharePoint Online to browse and attach documents. Existing sharing links and source permissions still need their own review, and file-content search applies to supported local files rather than cloud-backed documents.
Is a WordPress plugin secure enough for sensitive documents?
Check what happens to the file, not only the page. FileDeck Pro keeps protected local files in a vault and delivers them through access-checked downloads; see how file protection works. Test with authorised and unauthorised accounts before launch.
What about Google Drive instead?
The same approach applies: FileDeck can list public Drive links, and Pro can connect Google Drive. Read the Google Drive comparison.
05Next step
Your readers should be able to find the right document without asking for its location.
