Install and activate FileDeck Free & Pro

FileDeck installs like any WordPress plugin. The free version comes straight from the wordpress.org plugin directory; FileDeck Pro is a zip file you download from your purchase email or Freemius account and upload in wp-admin. Activation takes under a minute and sets up a ready-to-use library page.

Install FileDeck Free

1. Go to Plugins → Add New in wp-admin.
2. Search for FileDeck.
3. Click Install Now, then Activate.

If you prefer a manual install, download the zip from wordpress.org/plugins/filedeck, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose the zip, and click Install Now, then Activate.

Install FileDeck Pro

1. Download the Pro zip. It is linked in your purchase email, and it is always available in the Freemius customer portal (follow the link in that same email).
2. Go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin in wp-admin.
3. Choose the zip file and click Install Now, then Activate.
4. Open the FileDeck license screen in wp-admin and enter the license key from your purchase email.

What happens when you activate FileDeck?

On first activation, FileDeck sets up three things:

• A top-level Documents menu appears in the wp-admin sidebar, with All Documents, Add New Document, Upload Documents, Document Categories, Document Tags, Leads, Activity Log, Review cycles, Health, Subscribers, Bulk add / export, Migrate, and Settings. The Search Index and AI Index screens are tabs within Settings.
• A "Document Library" page is created automatically, ready to display your documents.
• The three-step setup wizard opens so you can choose a layout, style, and library page. You can skip it and configure everything later in Documents → Settings.

From there, follow the quick start to add your first documents.

FAQ

Can I install Pro on top of the free version?

Yes. Install and activate the Pro build and your existing documents, categories, and settings are preserved — they use the same data.

Does deactivating FileDeck delete my documents?

No. Deactivating a plugin never removes its content. Your documents, categories, and files stay in place and reappear when you reactivate.

Where do I find the Pro zip again later?

In the Freemius customer portal, linked from your purchase email. You can re-download the latest version there at any time.
